THE ODES OF THE LORD
  TO INDEX

    Ode 1

  1. The Lord is on my head like a crown; I shall not be without Him.

  2. Woven for me was the crown of truth; it caused Thy branches to bud in me.

  3. For it was no parched crown that blossomed not, for Thou lived upon my head.

  4. Thy fruits are full-grown and perfect; they are full of Thy salvation.

      Ode 3

  1. ... ... I put on.

  2. And his members are with Him, on them do I stand, He loves me.

  3. For I would not have known how to love the Lord, if He had not loved me.

  4. For who is able to distinguish love, except him who is loved?

  5. I love the Beloved, and my soul loves Him, and where His rest is, there also am I.

  6. I shall be no stranger, for with the Lord Most High and merciful - there is no grudging.

  7. I have been united to Him, for the lover has found the Beloved.

  8. And because I love Him, that is the Son, I shall become a son.

  9. For he that is joined to Him that is immortal, will himself also become immortal.

  10. And he, who has pleasure in the Living One, will become living.

  11. This is the Spirit of the Lord, which does not lie, which teaches the sons of men His ways.

  12. Be wise and understanding, and diligent.  Hallelujah.

      Ode 4

      The Lord is Almighty.

  1. No man can pervert Thy holy place O my God, nor can he change it to put it in another place.

  2. For he has no power over it, for Thou designed Thy sanctuary before Thou made any other place.

  3. They that are inferior to Him shall not pervert the Ancient One.

  4. Thou has given Thy heart O Lord, to the faithful ones,

  5. Thou wilt never fail, or be without fruits, for one hour of Thy faith is more than all days and years.

  6. For who shall put on Thy grace and be rejected?  For Thy seal is known, and Thy creatures know it.

  7. And Thy hosts possess it, and the elect archangels are clothed with it.

  8. Thou has given us Thy fellowship, not that Thou needed us but we are always in need of Thee.

  9. Distill Thy dew upon us, and open Thy rich fountains that pour forth to us milk and honey.

  10. For there is no regret with Thee, that Thou should regret anything that Thou has promised.

  11. The end was known to Thee, and what Thou does give, Thou give freely, and not draw back to take again.

  12. For as God, all is before known to Thee, and set in order from the beginning.  For Thou O God has made all things.

     Ode 5

     A prayer.

  1. I will praise Thee O Lord because I love Thee.  O Most High forsake me not, for Thou art my hope.

  2. Freely did I receive Thy grace, may I live by it.  My persecutors come, but let them not see me.

  3. Let a cloud of darkness fall upon their eyes, and let an air of thick darkness obscure them.

  4. Let them have no light to see, so they cannot seize me.

  5. Let their counsel become dull, so that whatever they conspired will come upon their own heads.

  6. For they devised a counsel, but it did not succeed, for my hope is upon the Lord.

  7. I will not fear, for the Lord is my salvation.  He is a crown upon my head, so shall I not be moved.

  8. Though all things be shaken, I shall stand.  Though all things visible should perish,

  9. I shall not die, for the Lord is with me, and I with Him.  Hallelujah.

    Ode 6

     The knowledge of God.

  1. As the hand moves over the harp, and the harp speaks, so the Spirit of the Lord speaks in my members.  And I speak by His love.

  2. For He destroys what is foreign, and everything that is bitter.

  3. Thus it was from the beginning, and will be to the end.  That nothing will be contrary, nor anything will rise up against Him.

  4. The Lord has multiplied his knowledge, He was zealous that the things which have been given us, should be known.

  5. For He gave us the praise of "His" name, our spirits praise His Holy Spirit.

  6. For a stream went forth and became a river great and broad, it carried everything like water to the temple.

  7. The restraints of the children of men were not able to restrain it, nor the arts of them that restrain waters.

  8. It spread over the face of the whole earth, filling everything, all the thirsty were given to drink of it.

  9. And the thirst was relieved, and quenched, for the drink was given from the Most High.

  10. Blessed therefore are the ministers of that drink, who have been entrusted with that water of His.

  11. They have pleased the parched lips, and raised up the will of those who fainted.

  12. They caught the souls that were near to departing, and brought them back from death, and restored and set up the limps that had fallen.

  13. They gave strength for their feebleness, and light to their eyes.

  14. For everyone knew them as the Lord's, and they became alive by the water of life forever.  Hallelujah.

      Ode 7

     The Lord becomes like man.

  1. As the impulse of anger is over evil, so is the impulse of joy over what is lovely, and brings-in its fruits without restraint.

  2. My joy is the Lord, and my impulse is toward Him, this path of mine is excellent.

  3. For I have a helper, the Lord, He generously showed himself to me in simplicity, His kindness humbled my greatness.

  4. He became like me, that I might receive Him.

  5. He was reckoned like me that I might put Him on.

  6. And I trembled not when I saw Him, for He was gracious to me.

  7. He became like my nature, that I might learn Him.  And like my form that I might not turn back from Him.

  8. The Father of knowledge, is the Word of knowledge, He who created wisdom is wiser than his works.

  9. He who created me when I was not yet knew what I would do when I came into being.

  10. Wherefore He pitied me in His abundant grace, and, granted me to seek from Him, and to benefit from His sacrifice.

  11. For He is He who is incorruptible, the fullness of the ages, and their Father.

  12. He has given Him to be seen of them that are his own that they might recognize Him that made them, and not suppose they came of themselves

  13.  For He appointed knowledge as its way, He widened it, and extended it, and brought it to perfection.

  14. He set the traces of his light over it, and I walked therein from the beginning to the end.

  15. For by Him it was wrought, in His Son He was served, and for its salvation He will hold everything.

  16. The Most High shall be known in his saints, that they may go forth to meet Him and sing to Him, with joy and with the harp of many tones.

  17. The seers shall come before Him, and they shall be seen before Him.

  18. They shall praise the Lord for his love, because He is near, and beholds

  19. Hatred shall be taken from the earth along with jealousy, it shall be drowned.

  20. Ignorance has been destroyed, for the knowledge of the Lord arrived.

  21. They who make songs shall sing to the grace of the Lord, they shall bring their songs, and their hearts shall be like day, and like the majestic beauty of the Lord.

  22. There shall not be anything that breathes, be without knowledge, nor without voice.

  23. For He has given a mouth to his creation, to open them towards Him in praise.

  24.  Confess His power, and show forth His glory.  Hallelujah.

         Ode 8

         Standing up
  1. Open ye, open your heart to the exultation of the Lord, and let your love abound from the heart to the lips.

  2. To bring forth to the Lord living fruit, holy, to speak with watchfulness in His light.

  3. Rise up, and stand erect, you who some-time were brought low,

  4. Speak up you who were in silence, for your mouth has been opened.

  5. You that were despised, from henceforth be lifted up, for your righteousness has been raised.

  6. For the right hand of the Lord is with you, He is your helper, and before you knew war peace was prepared for you.

  7. Hear the word of truth, and receive the knowledge of the Most High.

  8. Your flesh may not understand what I am about to say to you, nor your heart know what I am about to declare you.

  9. Keep My secret, you who are kept by it.  Keep My faith, you who are kept by it.

  10. Understand My knowledge, you who know Me in truth, and love Me with affection, you who love.

  11. I do not turn away My face from them that are mine, for I know them.

  12. Before they came into being, I took knowledge of them, and on their faces I set My seal.

  13. I fashioned their members, My own breast I prepared for them, that they might drink my holy milk and live thereby.

  14. I took pleasure in them, and am not ashamed of them, for they are My workmanship, the strength of My thought.

  15.  Who then shall rise up against My handiwork?  Who is there that is not subject to Me?

  16. I willed and fashioned mind and heart, they are Mine, and upon My right hand have I set My elect ones.

  17. My righteousness goes before them; they shall not be deprived of My name, for it is with them.

  18. Seek and abound, and abide in the love of the Lord, you who are loved in the Beloved, you who are kept in Him who lives, you who are saved in Him who was saved.

  19. And you shall be found incorrupt in all ages, in the name of your Father.  Hallelujah.

     Ode 9

  1. Open your ears, and I will speak to you, give me yourself that I may also give you Myself.

  2. The word of the Lord is his good pleasure, the holy thought He had thought concerning His Messiah.

  3. For in the will of the Lord is your salvation, and His thought is everlasting life, and your end immortality.

  4. Be enriched in the Father, and receive the thought of the Most High.

  5. Be strong, and be redeemed by His grace, for I announce to you peace, to you His saints.

  6. That none of those who hear may fall in the war, that those who have known Him, may not perish, and that have received Him, may not be ashamed.

  7. Truth is the everlasting crown, blessed are those that set it upon their heads.

  8.  It is a precious stone, on account of which there have been wars, but righteousness has taken it and given it to you.

  9. Put on the crown, the true covenant of the Lord, and they that conquer shall be written in His book.

  10.  For His book, which is yours, is victory, she beholds you before her, and will that you be saved.

      Ode 10

      The Lord speaks

  1. The Lord has directed my mouth by His word, He has opened my heart by His light, He has caused to dwell in me his immortal life.

  2. He gave me that I might speak the fruit of his peace, to convert the souls that are willing to come to Him, to lead captive a good captivity for freedom.

  3. I took courage and became strong, and captured the world; it became mine for the glory of the Most High, of God my Father.

  4. The Gentiles that were scattered were gathered, nor was I defiled by My love for them, for they confessed Me in high places.

  5. The traces of light were set upon their hearts, they walked according to My life, and were saved, and became My people forever and ever.  Hallelujah.

     Ode 11

     The Lord's imparting grace
  1. My heart was cloven, and its flower appeared, grace sprung up in it bringing forth fruit to the Lord.

  2. For by his Holy Spirit the Most High clove my heart, and searched my affection towards Him, and filled me with His love.

  3. His circumcising became my salvation, and I ran in his way, in the way of truth.

  4. From the beginning to the end I acquired knowledge, and was established upon the rock of truth, upon which He placed me.

  5. Running waters touched my lips generously, from the fountain of the Lord did I drink, and was intoxicated with living waters, that die not.

  6. Nor was my intoxication without knowledge, for I forsook vanity, turning to the Most High God.

  7. I was enriched by his bounty, forsaking the folly of the earth; I stripped it off and cast it from me.

  8. The Lord renewed me with His raiment, He held me with His light, And from above gave me immortal rest.

  9. I became like the land that blossoms; rejoicing in its fruits, The Lord was like the sun shining on the face thereof.

  10. He enlightened my eyes; my face received the dew, my nostrils the pleasant odor of the Lord.

  11. He carried me to his Paradise, which abounds with the pleasure of the Lord.

  12. I worshipped the Lord for his glory and said; Blessed O Lord are they who are planted in Thy land, which have a place in Thy paradise.

  13. They grow by the fruits of the trees, and change from darkness to light.

  14. Behold all Thy servants are fair, turning away from sin to Thy pleasure.

  15. It turns the bitterness from all them, when they were planted in Thy land.

  16. Everything became in Thy image, an everlasting memorial of Thy faithful works.

  17. There is abundant room in Thy Paradise, nothing useless is found therein, but everything is filled with fruit.

  18.  Glory be to Thee O God, the delight of Paradise forever.  Hallelujah.

      Ode 12

      Knowledge of the Lord.

  1. He has filled me with words of truth that I may speak the same.

  2. And like waters flow, so truth flows from my mouth, and my lips show forth His fruit.

  3. He caused his knowledge to abound in me, for the mouth of the Lord is the true word and the door of His light.

  4. The Most High has given His word, to the interpreters of his beauty, to the confessors of his praise, to the preachers of his counsel, to the heralds of his thoughts, the chastiser’s of His servants.

  5. For the swiftness of the word is inexpressible, and like unto it is its speed and force.

  6. Its course knows no limits, neither does it fail, but stands secure and knows no descend, nor the way thereof.

  7. For like as His work, so is His expectation, for He is light and the beginning of thought.

  8. By it the generations speak to one another, and the silent ones acquire speech.

  9. From it came love and harmony, and they spoke what was theirs penetrated by the Word.

  10. They knew Him who made them, for they were in accord, since it was the mouth of the Lord that spoke to them, by these came His explanation.

  11. For the dwelling places of the Word is man, and its truth is love.

  12. Blessed are they who by means thereof have understood all, and have known the Lord in truth.  Hallelujah.

      Ode 13

  1. Behold, the Lord is our mirror, open your eyes and see yourself in Him, learn the manner of your face.

  2. Announce praise to His Spirit, and cleanse the filth from your face.

  3. Love His holiness, and clothe yourself therewith.  Be without stain at all times before Him.  Hallelujah.

     Ode 14

     A prayer.

  1. As the eyes of a son are upon his father so my eyes are to Thee O Lord, to Thee at all times.

  2. For with Thee are my consolations and my delight, turn not Thy mercies away from me O Lord, nor Thy kindness.

  3. Stretch forth Thy right hand to me at all times O Lord, by Thy good pleasure be my guide unto the end.

  4. Let me be well pleasing before Thee, because of Thy glory and for Thy name.

  5. Let me be preserved from evil, and let Thy meekness O Lord abide with me, - the fruits of Thy love

  6. Teach me the psalms of Thy truth, that I may bring forth fruit in Thee.

  7. Open to me the harp of Thy Spirit, that with its notes I may praise Thee O Lord.

  8. According to the multitude of Thy tender mercies, so grant unto me, and hasten to grant our petition, for Thou art able to all our needs.  Hallelujah.  .

     Ode 15

     The Lord - our Sun.

  1. As the sun is joy to them that look for daybreak, so is my joy for the Lord.

  2. For He is my Sun, and his rays lift me up, His light dispelled all darkness from my face.

  3. In Him I acquired eyes, and saw His holy day.  Ears became mine, and I heard His truth.

  4. The thought of knowledge became mine, and I delighted in its means.

  5. I left the way of error, walked towards Him, and received salvation from Him without restraint.

  6. According to His generosity He gave unto me, and according to His excellent beauty He made me.

  7. By His name I put on incorruption, by His grace corruption was put off.

  8. Death has been destroyed before my face, and hell has been abolished by His Word.

  9. Eternal life went up in the land of the Lord; it was made known to his faithful ones,

  10. and given to them without limit, to all that trusted in Him.  Hallelujah.

       Ode 16

      God known in his works.

  1. As the work of the plowman is to the plowshare, and the work of the helmsman to the course of the ship, so also are my works in the psalms of the Lord, my craft and my service are in His praise.

  2. Because His love nourished my heart, and unto my lips His fruit was poured out unto me.

  3. For my love is the Lord, therefore will I sing to Him, for I am made strong in His praise, and I have faith in Him.

  4. I will open my mouth, and His Spirit will speak in me the glory of the Lord and His beauty, the works of His hands, the operation of His fingers, the multitude of His mercies, and the strength of His Word.

  5. For the word of the Lord searches out all things, both the invisible and what his thoughts conceive, for the eye sees his works, and the ear hears his thoughts.

  6. He laid out the earth, and settled the waters in the sea, He measured the heavens and fixed the stars, He established creation and set it forth.

  7. And He rested from his works, while the created things ran their courses, and did their work.

  8. They knew not how to stand still, nor to be idle; His heavenly host is subject to His word.

  9. The treasure chamber of the light is the Sun, and the treasure of darkness the night.

  10.  He made the Sun for the day that it may be bright, and night to bring darkness over the face of the land.

  11. Their alterations one from another speak the beauty of God, and there is nothing outside of Him, for He was before any came into being.

  12. Thus were the worlds made by His word, and by the thought of His heart and honor to His name.  Hallelujah.

       Ode 17

       Joy in salvation
  1. I was crowned by my God, and my crown is living.  I was justified in my Lord, my salvation is He.

  2. I was delivered from vanity, and not condemned; the choking bonds were cut by His hands.

  3. I received the face and form of a new person; I walked in it and was saved.

  4. The thought of truth led me on; I walked after it and did not wander.

  5. All who saw me were amazed; I was regarded by them as a stranger.

  6. He who knew Me, and brought Me up, is the Most High in all His perfection.

  7. He glorified me by His kindness, and raised my thoughts to the height of His truth.

  8. From there He gave me the path of his precepts, I opened the closed doors, and broke to pieces the bars of iron, they melted before me.

  9. Nothing appeared closed unto Me, because I was the door to everything.

  10. I went to all my bondsmen to loosen them, that I might not leave anyone bound or in chains

  11. I imparted my knowledge without grudging, and my resurrection in love.

  12. I sowed my fruits in their hearts, transforming them unto myself, and they receiving my blessing lived.

  13. They were gathered unto me and saved, for they were like my own members to me, and I was their Head.

  14. Glory be to Thee our Head, O Lord Messiah.  Hallelujah.

     Ode 18

     A prayer.

  1. My heart was lifted up in the love of the Most High, that I might praise Him for his name.

  2. My members were strengthened that they might not fail from His strength.

  3. Infirmities fled from my body, it stood firm by the will of the Lord, for his kingdom is true.

  4. For the sake of those who are in need O Lord do not remove Thy word from me, nor for Thy works; restrain me from Thy perfection.

  5. Let not light be conquered by darkness, nor truth flee before falsehood.

  6. Appoint me the victory, Thy right hand our salvation, and Thou wilt receive men from all quarters, and preserve all that are besieged by evils.

  7. Thou art my God, falsehood and death are not in Thy mouth, for Thy will is perfection.

  8. Nor is vanity known to Thee, nor error, nor does it know Thee, while ignorance appeared blind, like the foam of the sea.

  9. They supposed something great of that vain thing, and they too became vain after its likeness.

  10. But they who understood meditated, and have not been corrupted in their image, for such was in the mind of the Lord.

  11. They mocked them that walked in error, speaking truth from the inspiration, which the Most High breathe into them.

  12. Praise and great honor to His name.  Hallelujah.

     Ode 19

     Of birth.

  1. A cup of milk was offered to me, and from it I drank the sweetness of the delight of the Lord.

  2. The Son is the cup; He who milked was the Father, and the Holy Spirit the milk.

  3. For His breasts were full, and it was so needed that His Milk should be richly released.

  4. The Holy Spirit opened the bosom, and mingled the milk from the breasts of the Father, and gave it to the world without them knowing.

  5. They who received it in fullness are the ones on His right hand.

  6. The Spirit opened the womb of the virgin, she conceived and brought forth, the virgin became a mother of many mercies.

  7. And because she was not prepared, being without a midwife, she brought forth a man of his own will.

  8. She brought Him forth openly, acquiring Him with great dignity.

  9. She loved Him in his swaddling cloths, and guarded Him kindly, and showed Him in majesty. Hallelujah

      Ode 20

      The right sacrifice
  1. I am a priest of the Lord, unto Him I do priestly service; to Him I offer the sacrifices of my thoughts.

  2. His thoughts are not like the thoughts of the world, nor like those of the flesh, nor like these that serve carnally.

  3. The sacrifice of the Lord is righteousness, and purity of the heart and lips.

  4. Present your inward before Him blameless and let not your heart oppress hearts, or your soul souls.

  5. You shall not acquire a stranger by the price of silver, nor seek to devour your neighbor, nor deprive him of the covering of his nakedness.

  6. But you shall put on the grace of the Lord without restraint, and enter his Paradise making your crown from its trees.

  7. You shall place it on your head and be glad, and recline on His rest, so shall His glory go before you.

  8. You shall receive of his kindness and of his grace, you shall flourish in truth, in the praise of His holiness.

  9. Praise and honor be to His name.  Hallelujah.

     Ode 21

     God is man's glory
  1. I lifted my arms unto the Most High, to the grace of the Lord, for He had cast off my bonds, my Helper had lifted me up to His grace and salvation.

  2. And I put off darkness clothing myself with light; my soul acquired a body free from sorrow and afflictions or pain.

  3. Abundantly helpful to me was the thought of the Lord, and His incorruptible fellowship,

  4. I was lifted up in his light, and served before Him, I became near to Him praising and confessing Him.

  5. My heart ran over and was found in my mouth, it arose from my lips,  the exultation of the Lord increased on my face, and likewise His praises.  Hallelujah.

      Ode 22

     The Lord the Savior

  1. He, who caused me to descend from on high, also brought me up from below.

  2. He, who gathered together the things that are in between, also placed me.

  3. He who scattered my enemies existed from ever, also gave Me the authority to loosen bonds.

  4. He that by my hands overthrew the dragon with seven heads, also placed me at its roots that I might destroy his seed.

  5. He was there and helped me, in every place His name was a bulwark to me.

  6. His right hand destroyed the evil poison; His hand leveled the way for them that believed in Him.

  7. He chose them from the graves, separated them from the dead, He took dead bones and covered them with bodies.

  8. They were motionless, but He gave them power for life, His way was without corruption before Him.

  9. He brought his world down that everything, might be dissolved, and newly created.

  10. That the foundation for all might be His Rock, on it did He build his kingdom, and it became the dwelling-place of the saints.  Hallelujah.

     Ode 23

     The Scriptures
  1. Joy is for the holy ones, and who shall put it on except these alone?

  2. Grace is for the elect, and who shall receive it except these who trust in it from the beginning?

  3. Love is of the elect, and who shall have it except those who had it from the start?

  4. Walk in the knowledge of the Most High without grudging to His exultation, and to the perfection of His knowledge.

  5. His thought was like a letter, His will descended from on high, it was sent like an arrow forcefully shot from the bow.

  6. Many hands rushed to the letter to seize, take and receive it.  But it escaped from their fingers, for they were afraid of it and of the seal that was upon it.

  7. For they were not permitted to loosen the seal, for the power upon the seal was greater than them.

  8. But those who saw it went after the letter seeing where it might land, and who might read it and hear it.

  9. And a wheel received it and rolled upon it, and with it was a sign of the kingdom and of His government.

  10. And everyone who tried to move the wheel was cut down by it; it restrained a multitude of adversaries, bridged rivers, and crossing over them uprooted the forest making a wide path.

  11. The head went down to the feet, for at the foot ran the wheel, and it was a sign upon it.

  12. The letter was of a single command, but it embodied all precepts.

  13. And there was seen at its head - the Head which was revealed, the Son of truth, from the Father Most High.

  14. He inherited and took possession of everything, and the thoughts of many were brought to nothing.

  15. All the apostates hasted and fled away, enraged persecutors became extinct.

  16.  The letter was of large volume, whole written by the finger of God.

  17. Upon it were the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, to rule forever and ever.  Hallelujah.

      Ode 24

     The Lord a strong judgment
  1. The Dove fluttered over the Messiah because, He was her Head, and She sang over Him, and Her voice was heard.

  2. All the inhabitants were afraid, and the strangers were moved.

  3. The birds dropped their wings, and all creeping things hid in their holes.

  4. The abyss, which had been closed, was opened, and they cried to the Lord like a woman in travail.

  5. But no food was given them, for it did not belong to them.

  6. And they sealed up the abyss with the seal of the Lord, and their thought which they had from the beginning, perished.

  7. For since the beginning they were corrupt, but the end of their corruption brought life.

  8. Everyone that was imperfect perished, for it was not possible to give them a word by which they might remain.

  9. Thus the Lord destroyed the imaginations of all that had not the truth in them.

  10. For they - who in their heart were lifted up were deficient in wisdom, and were rejected, for the truth was not in them.

  11. For the Lord disclosed His ways and spread forth His grace, and they that understood knew His holiness.  Hallelujah.

     Ode 25

     God saves His King
  1. I was rescued from my bonds, and unto Thee my God I fled, for Thou art the right hand of my salvation, and my helper.

  2. Thou did restrain them that rose up against Me, I shall see them no more, for Thy face was with me, which saved me by Thy grace.

  3. I was despised and rejected in the eyes of many, in their eyes I was like lead, but strength with help was mine from Thee.

  4. Thou placed for me a lamp at my right and my left; in me there shall be nothing that is not bright.

  5. I was clothed with the covering of Thy Spirit; my raiment of skin was from Thee.

  6. Thy right hand lifted me up and removed sickness from Me, I became mighty in the truth and holy by Thy righteousness, and my adversaries all were afraid of me.

  7.  I became admirable by the name of the Lord, and was justified by His gentleness, and His rest is forever and ever.  Hallelujah.

     Ode 26

     Song in praise
  1. I poured out praise to the Lord, for I am His, I will speak his holy song, for my heart is with Him.

  2. His harp is in my hands, and the odes of his rest shall not be silent.

  3. I will cry unto Him from my whole heart, and praise and exalt Him with all my members.

  4. For from the east even to the west is His praise, and from the south to the north His thanksgiving.

  5. From the top of the hills to their bounds is His perfection, who can write the psalms of the Lord, or read them?

  6. Who can train his soul for life that it may be saved, or rest upon the Most High so that with His mouth he may speak?

  7. Who is able to interpret the wonders of the Lord?  And though he that interprets be dissolved, yet that which was interpreted remains.

  8. For it is sufficient to know and to rest, for in rest the singers stand.

  9. And like a river with an abundant flow, so it flows to the help of them that seek it.

      Ode 28

      Praise in the Redeemer
  1. As the wings of doves are over their nestling, and these open their mouth to theirs, so the wings of the Spirit are over my heart.

  2. My heart is delighted and exults, like the babe who exults in the womb of his mother.

  3. I believed therefore was I at rest, for faithful is He in whom I have believed.

  4. He has richly blessed me, and my Head is with Him, the sword shall not separate me from Him nor the dagger.

  5. Before destruction came I was ready; I have been set on immortal pinions.

  6. He showed me His way and gave me to drink, and from that Spirit is life within me, which cannot die, for it lives.

  7. They who saw me marveled at me because I was persecuted, and they supposed that I was swallowed up, for I seemed to them as one lost.

  8. My oppression's became my salvation, I became their abomination because there was no jealousy in Me, and because I did well every man hated Me.

  9. They surrounded me like mad dogs ignorantly attacking their Master, for their thought is corrupt, and their understanding perverted.

  10. But I carried water in my right hand; by my sweetness I endured their bitterness.

  11. I did not perish for I was not their brother, nor was My birth like theirs.

  12. They sought for my death but found it not, for I was older than the memorial of them.

  13. In vain did they make attacks upon me, those who without cause came after me.

  14. They sought to destroy the memorial of Him who was before them, but the thought of the Lord cannot be anticipated,  His heart is superior to all wisdom.

      Ode 29

      Faith, the strong rock
  1. The Lord is my hope, in him I shall be found.

  2. According to his praise He made me, and according to his goodness so He did unto me.

  3. According to his mercies He exalted me, and according to his excellent beauty He set me on high.

  4. He brought me up out of the depth of hell; from the mouth of death He drew me.

  5. Thou Lord laid my enemies low, and justified me by Thy grace, for I believed in his Messiah, it was apparent to me that He is Lord.

  6. He showed me his sign, and led me by his light, and gave me the Rod of his power.

  7. That I might subdue the imaginations of the people, and bring down the power of mighty men, to make war by His word, and victory by His power.

  8. And by his word the Lord overthrew my enemies, they became like chaff in the wind, that carries away.

  9. I give praise to the Most High, for He exalted me, me His servant and son of His handmaid. Hallelujah.

        Ode 30

        The goodness of knowledge
  1. Fill for yourself living waters from the living fountains of the Lord, for it is opened to you.

  2. Come all you thirsty and drink, rest by the fountain of the Lord.

  3.  For it is fair and pure, and gives rest to the soul, much more pleasant are they than honey, nor is the honeycomb of the bees to be compared by it.

  4.  For it flows forth from the lips of the Lord, and from the heart of the Lord is its name.

  5. It came boundless and invisible, and not until it was placed in their midst did they know it.  Blessed are they who have drunk from it, and found rest by it.  Hallelujah.

     Ode 31

     The Lord speaks
  1. The abyss was dissolved before the Lord, His appearance destroyed the darkness

  2. Error went away and perished at his hand, folly found no path to walk in and was submerged by the Lord's truth.

  3. He opened his mouth speaking grace and joy, a new song of praise to His name.

  4. He lifted up His voice to the Most High, offering to Him the sons that were with Him.

  5.  His faith was justified, for thus His Holy Father had given to Him.

  6. Come forth you that have been afflicted and receive joy, possess your souls by His grace, take your immortal life.

  7.  They made me a debtor when I rose up, me who had no debts, and they divided my spoil though nothing was owed to them.

  8.  But I endured and held my peace; I was silent as if not moved by them.

  9. I stood unshaken like a firm rock beaten by the waves, yet endured.

  10.  For humility sake I bore their bitterness in order that I might redeem my people and inherit them, and not void my promise to the fathers, to whom I promised the salvation of their seed.  Hallelujah.

      Ode 32

  1. To the blessed is joy from the heart, and light from Him that dwells in them, and truth from the word that is original in Himself.

  2. For He was strengthened by the holy power of the Most High, and unshaken forever and ever.  Hallelujah.

      Ode 33

     The mighty Lord calling

  1. Again grace was swift, and overtook the corrupter; it descended upon him to bring him to nothing.

  2. He destroyed perdition from before Him; He devastated all its orders.

  3. He stood on a lofty summit and sounded his voice in the earth from one end to the other.

  4. He drew to Him all those who obeyed Him, and not one evil one appeared before Him.

  5. There stood a perfect virgin, She proclaimed calling and sayings O you sons of men return,

  6. And you daughters of men come forsake the ways of corruption, draw near to me and I will enter into you, and bring you forth from perdition.

  7. I will make you wise in the ways of truth, that you not be destroyed, nor perish.

  8. Hear me and be redeemed, for I proclaim among you the grace of God, and by my means you shall be redeemed and be blessed.

  9. I am your judge, they who put me on shall not be injured, but possess the new world, which is incorrupt.

  10. My chosen ones walk in Me, and my ways I will make known to them that seek Me, and I will make them trust in my name.  Hallelujah.

        Ode 34

  1. No way is hard for where there is a simple heart, nor any barrier where the thoughts are upright, nor any storm in the enlightened thought.

  2. Where one is surrounded on all sides by beauty, there is nothing divided.

  3. The likeness of what is below is that which is above, for all things are from above.

  4. And what is from below, is but the imagination of those without knowledge.

  5.  Grace has been revealed for your salvation, believe and live and be saved.  Hallelujah.

    Ode 35

  1.  In quietness did the Lord distill His dew upon me, He caused the clouds of peace to rise over me, which guarded me continually, and it was to me for salvation.

  2. All things were shaken and frightened, smoke and judgment came forth from them, but I was serene in the Lord’s order.

  3. He was more to me than shelter, more than a foundation, I was carried like a child by his mother, and He gave me milk, the dew of the Lord.

  4. I grew great by His bounty, and rested in His perfection, I spread my hands in the lifting up of my soul, and was made right with the Most High, and was redeemed with Him.

     Ode 36

  1. I rested in the Spirit of the Lord, and the Spirit raised me on High.

  2. He made me stand on my feet in the heights of the Lord, before his perfection and his glory while I praised Him by the composition of His songs.

  3. The Spirit brought me forth before the face of the Lord, and although a Son of man I was named “The Illuminator, The Son of God” while I praised among the praising ones, great was I among the mighty ones.

  4. For according to the greatness of the Most High so He made Me, and like His own newness He renewed Me, and anointed Me from His own perfection.

  5. I became One near to Him, and My mouth was opened like a cloud of dew.

  6. And my heart poured out as were it gushing streams of righteousness, and my access to Him was in peace.

  7. I was established by the Spirit of His government.  Hallelujah.

     Ode 37

  1. I stretched out my hands to my Lord, to the Most High I raised my voice.

  2. I spoke with the lips of my heart, and He heard me when my voice reached unto Him.

  3. His answer came to me, and granted me the fruits of my labors, and gave me rest by the grace of the Lord.  Hallelujah.

     Ode 38

     The truth
  1. I went up to the light of truth as if in a chariot and truth took me and led me, and carried me across pits and gullies, from the rocks and the waves preserved me.

  2.  It became to me a haven of salvation, and set me on the arms of life immortal.

  3. And it went with me making me to rest, not suffering me to wander, for it was the truth.

  4. I ran no risk because I walked with Him; I made no errors in anything for I obeyed the truth.

  5. Error flees from it and meets it not, for truth proceeds in the right path.

  6. What I knew not was made clear to me, all the poisons of error and plagues of death, which they imagine to be sweetness I found bitter.

  7. I saw the destroyer of destruction, the bride of corruption adorned in her corruption.

  8. And I asked the truth; who are these?  And He said to me, this is the deceiver and the error.

  9. And they imitate the Beloved and His bride, they lead astray corrupting the whole world, and invite many to the banquet.

  10. They give them to drink of the wine of their intoxication, removing their wisdom and their knowledge, so making them without intelligence.

  11. Then they leave them and go about like madmen corrupting, being without heart nor looking for it.

  12. And I was made wise so not to fall in the hands of the deceiver, and I rejoiced because the truth went with me.

  13.  I was established, lived, and was redeemed, my foundations were laid on the hands of the Lord, for He established me.

  14.  He set the root and watered it, He affixed it and blessed it, and its fruits are forever.

  15.  It struck deep and sprung up, spread out, and was full and enlarged; the Lord alone was Glorious in his planting, in his husbandry.

  16. All by His care, by the blessing of His lips, by the beautiful planting of his right hand, by His discovery and the thought of his mind.  Hallelujah.

     Ode 39

  1. Great rivers are the powers of the Lord, and they carry headlong those who despise Him, and entangle their path.

  2. They sweep away their force, catch their bodies and destroy their lives.

  3. For they, the rivers of the Lord are swifter than lightning, and more rapid than those who cross them.

  4. But those who cross them in faith shall not be moved, nor them that walk them faultlessly.

  5. For the mark upon them is the Lord, it is by way of those who cross in the name of the Lord.

  6. Therefore, put on the name of the Most High and know Him, and you shall cross without danger, for the rivers will be subject to you.

  7. The Lord has bridged them by His Word; He walked and crossed them on foot.

  8. His footsteps stand firm on the water and are not injured; they are firm as a tree set on truth.

  9. The waves were lifted up on one side and the other, but the footsteps of the Messiah stood firm, they shall not be blotted out, nor be destroyed,

  10. A way has been appointed for those who cross after Him, for those who adhere to the paths of His faith, who worship His name.  Hallelujah.

     Ode 40

  1. As the honey distills from the comb of the bees, and milk flows from the woman that loves her children, so also is my hope on The O my God.

  2. As the fountain shoots forth water, so my heart brings forth the praise of the Lord, and my lips speak glory to Him and my tongue His psalms.

  3. My face exults with his gladness, and my spirit exults in his love, my soul shines in Him.

  4. My reverence confides in Him, redemption in Him is assured.

  5. His inheritance is immortal life, and those who participate therein are incorrupt.  Hallelujah.

     Ode 41

    Praise for salvation
  1. All the Lord's children will praise Him, and collect the truth of his faith.

  2. His children shall be known to Him, therefore will we sing in his love.

  3. By his grace we live in the Lord, life is ours received in His Messiah.

  4. A great day has shined upon us, as He who gave us of His glory.

  5. Let us then unite all of us together in the name of, the Lord, and honor Him in his goodness.

  6. Let our faces shine in his light, and our hearts meditate in his love by night and by day, let us exult with the joy of the Lord.

  7. All that see me will be astonished, for I am of another race.

  8. For the Father of truth remembered me, He who owned me from the beginning.

  9. His bounty begot me, and the thought of His heart, His word is with us in all our ways, The Savior makes alive, and rejects not our souls.

  10. The man who was humbled and exalted by His righteousness, who is the Son of the Most High, appeared in the perfection of His Father.

  11. And light dawned from the word that was before time in Him.  The Messiah is truly One.

  12. And He was known before the foundations of the world, that He might save souls by the truth of His name.

  13. A new song arises from those who love Him.  Hallelujah.

     Ode 42

  1. I stretched forth my hands and approached the Lord, for the extension of my hand is his sign.

  2. My extension is the tree, which was set up on the way of the Righteous One.

  3. And I became of no account to those who did not take hold of me; I shall be with those that love me.

  4. All my persecutors are dead, while they who hoped in me sought me because I was alive.

  5. I arose and am with them, I will speak by their mouths, for they despised those that persecuted them.

  6. I lifted up over them the yoke of my love, like the arm of the groom over the bride, so was my yoke over those that know Me.

  7. And like the bridal feast is spread out in the house of the pair, so is my love over those that believe in me.

  8. I was not rejected though I was reckoned to be so.  I did not perish though they devised it against me.

  9. Hell saw me and was made miserable; death cast me up, and many along with me.

  10.  I had gall and bitterness, and I went down with him to the utmost end of his depth.

  11. He let go of the foot and the head, for they were not able to endure my face.

  12. I made a congregation of living amongst his dead men.  And I spoke with them by living lips that my word might not be in vain.

  13. Those who had died ran towards Me, and cried saying; Son of God have pity on us, and do with us according to Thy kindness

  14. Bring us out from the bonds of darkness, open to us the door by which we shall come out to Thee.

  15. For we see that our death has not touched Thee, let us also be redeemed with Thee, for Thou art our Redeemer

  16. And I heard their voice, and I sealed my Name upon their heads, for they are free men, and they are Mine.  Hallelujah.
