Struggle  to  inheritance

CHAPTER 30          LINK TO OTHER PAGES

  1. “For the faithful this world is a struggle, an effort with much trouble, but they bear it for the great crown and glory that is to come."  And;  "They will not be overcome though war and combat rages within them.'

  2. I then entitled this page: “Struggle to inheritance, yet I could just as well have said; ‘struggle to perfection,’ to associate perfection with the entrance into salvation.

  3. And why should I not do so, since it is written; “Let us cleanse ourselves from every defilement of body and spirit, and make holiness perfect in the fear of God.”

  4. This is not something that the many in the churches and the synagogues will agree upon, since they wish and think to enter into heaven without a scratch upon them, nor do they have the stamina that comes with the true faith to accept and bear the struggle that is unavoidable.

  5. And with you my dearly beloved among them - it is that I thought to write the words contained herein, lest you in their association with them fall asleep as these many are asleep.

  6. With my love for all man it is foremost to you that walk in the truth without defilement, for you that are truly the sons and daughters of the Lord, to walk in peace with Him doing all that He commanded us, and what He asks of us, for His blood that He shed for us.

  7. These words here therefore are for you my beloved in the Lord, to keep you undefiled from the plague that is all around you, to keep you unspotted from the would-be Christians, and from all that perform lip service to His name.

  8. Do you think I do not know what is in the hearts of these many in the congregations as they assemble themselves to make for a worship to serve their conscience? These indeed serve only their conscience, since in the essence of their soul they do not know the Christ.

  9. If I were not born of God in Christ Jesus I would be as ignorant as they are, but how is it not written of that Holy Spirit how She goes through all things, and nothing is hidden from Her, and we are given a Spirit of vision, not of darkness.

  10. We live in this world yes, but we are not carrying on a worldly war, since clearly the weapons of our warfare are not worldly but with divine power to know what is in a word, and to destroy strongholds.

  11. And so it was said; Admonish therefore the people as much as you can, for this is our due labor, for when you instruct them - you will make them alive."

  12.   I wish to bring your attention to what our Lord said to His seven churches by John in his book of Revelations. He said:I know you are enduring patiently and bearing up for my name's sake, and you have not grown weary. But I have this against you, that you have abandoned the love you had at first.”

  13. Does this apply to you my dear one, that you are not shaken when they attempt to correct you by saying; “not to be over-religious?”  Are you bearing up to keep His word without growing weary?  And have you of lately examined yourself, if perhaps you have not grown into a routine?

  14. Perhaps the cares, the weeds of the earth have overgrown you, and your love is not as it was at first, and yet you are holding out hope to salvation. For surely you consider yourself bound for heaven's glory.

  15. Take another look my love, my dear one, if your love is as it was at first, if to perfection.  Forget the routine and the cares that drag you down, lest the words of the Lord fall on you as He said:

  16. “Remember then from what you have fallen, repent and do the works you did at first. If not, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place, unless you repent.”

  17. O how easy it is for these many in the congregations to travel into heaven, they faithfully pray and go to church, and part with some of their money.  To them it is no struggle, or not anything that in truth is the struggle, meaning the spiritual struggle where the evil one attempts to control your thoughts for his gain.

  18. Yet you having the good spirit, you are opposing him, the war that goes on within us, the war of the good and evil spirits both attempting to lay hold of your soul.     Paul the Apostle knew it well, as he said:

  19. “I do not understand my own actions. For I do not do what I want, but I do the very thing I hate.”  If then indeed your spirit is struggling like that O my love, my dear one, it is the good spirit which is holding your soul, with the evil one not having you in his power.

  20. You may count yourself blessed, how you hate some of the things these others practice which are not according to Godliness. But remember my love, to merely hate ungodliness is not for yourself the perfection which the Lord requires of you, whereby you may enter into His rest.

  21. Did He not say: “Yet this you have, you hate the works of the Nicola'itans, which I also hate.”  And what my love does this entail to say – “Yet this you have?” So I speak with the Lord: "Be faithful unto death, and He will give you the crown of life.”

  22.   And now His words to a second church: “I have a few things against you: you have some there who hold the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to put a stumbling block before the sons of Israel, that they might eat food sacrificed to idols and practice immorality.

  23. So you also have some who hold the teaching of the Nicola'itans.  Repent then. If not, I will come to you soon and war against them with the sword of my mouth.”

  24. In speaking of food sacrificed to idols, the Lord is nor necessarily speaking of what enters into the mouth, but that which enters into the heart, the ungodly things, the false teaching that does not agree with the sound words of the Lord.

  25. Did I not in the beginning speak to you of dwelling among other members of the congregation - all of them calling themselves by the name of Christ? You therefore are associating with them, you are a member among them.

  26. But when you come to judge them or test them by the word of Christ Jesus, these are not abiding by His word.  And yet you my love are silent about it, in which case you are condoning their actions.

  27. Is not this what the Lord is referring to? For in the words; “I have a few things against you,” He does not specifically say that you were doing these contrary things, but how some in the congregation were, some with whom you acclaim yourself to be fastened to, to be a member of.

  28. You are rendering a wrong judgment my love in being silent of their wickedness, wherefore either you allow your soul to be lost, or you repent, by speaking out to them, and if they will not listen, you must take heed to what David said in his first psalm.

  29.   And to another church;  “I know your works, your love and faith and service and patient endurance, and that your latter works exceed the first. But I have this against you, that you tolerate the woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess and is teaching and beguiling my servants to practice immorality and to eat food sacrificed to idols.”

  30. Is not the Lord here speaking of those that are His children - for they have love and faith, and their latter works exceed the first, and yet He has something against them, for while themselves they are not practicing immorality, they are tolerating it of another.

  31. If now the other is not of their members, of the world so to say, the whole world lies in immorality, but we are not going to tolerate the same within our own members, now are we, to ourselves associate with them.

  32. Suppose your pastor, the head of the church, ordains his wife (or any woman) also as a pastor (as some are doing) to speak before the congregation, are you going to tolerate that?

  33. In no way / since that pastor along with his wife are worse than that woman Jezebel, to not only ruin a few, but the entire congregation, and you my love along with it, unless you take steps to safeguard your soul from the destruction of that entire congregation.

  34. In this case it is better to leave that temple of the devil, since not just a member, but the head is sick.  Or as a congregation you could cast out the head along with his wife, and establish a new head that is not sick and without blemish.

  35. Is it not obvious from the words of the Lord how He wishes you to be holy, to be unspotted, and not in silence condone evil marks within your members?  For some their wickedness is hidden, while for others it is obvious.

  36. And so the Lord said:  “But to the rest of you in Thyatira, who do not hold this teaching, who have not learned what some call the deep things of Satan, to you I say, I do not lay upon you any other burden; only hold fast what you have, until I come.”

  37. I now wish you to read this last sentence once more slowly and clearly, for while the Lord said, Only hold fast what you have until I come,He also said; “Any other burden.” Wherefore there is a burden, there is this for you / not to tolerate the immorality within your members.

  38. Yet His blessing is still upon those who have not given an ear to learn what the deep things of Satan are, to amuse themselves with wickedness even to hear of, or be educated in, provided these clear themselves of the burden.

  39. And now I would rejoice if the next word of the Lord applies to today’s churches where He said: “I know your works; you have the name of being alive, and you are dead. Awake, and strengthen what remains and is on the point of death, for I have not found your works perfect in the sight of My God.”

  40. The name of being alive are all those who call themselves Christians or Messianic Jews,  while in fact they are dead.   My reference then for 'today’s churches' lies in where the Lord said; “What remains and is on the point of death,” which for the last many centuries held true.

  41. But now in the ending day’s it is more like as in the day’s of Noah, and how many, or how few these will be / to whom I am referring as “my love, my dear one.”  I dare say that the lot of them that acclaim themselves to be Christians are not anywhere near to the perfection, which the Lord requires them in the sight of God His Father.

  42. Perfection indeed, but if you say that perfection in salvation cannot be obtained, you will certainly not obtain it, because you said it cannot be done, while the Lord will not accept anyone but that has come to perfection.

  43. You now my love, my dear ones, will not call me to be a liar in this, yet these many so called Christians will, for you know that it is not I who said: “Perfect in the sight of My God.”

  44. These many others, so religious and so perfect in themselves, who said of me, that I was “over-religious,” and that I was taking things too seriously, these do not believe the word that is spoken, or else they would have agreed with us.  And that is why they are Christians only in name, and far from Christ, and far from the kingdom of heaven.

  45. For I am not over-religious, but rather I believe, which they do not. And not I am taking things too seriously, but I know and understand Him who has made His abode with me, Who has given me His Spirit as confirmation to the hope that is within me.

  46. As then the Lord said; "Remember then what you received and heard; keep that, and repent. If you will not awake, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what hour I will come upon you."

  47. The hour that He will come upon you is not meant as only the day that He returns upon the clouds, but your own time before you are laid to rest.

  48. Yet there are those, or there may be those, like my own mother was, as a woman among the many performing lip service, and she is not one to speak up in the congregation.

  49. Nor was there great immorality among them, yet she held out to the whole truth, and while she spoke, no one would listen, as she herself acclaimed that; "these were yet harder than the stones of which her dwelling was built."

  50. So also the Lord said: "Yet you have still a few names in Sardis, people who have not soiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white, for they are worthy."

  51. Even though the world may crumble around you, and lip service is everywhere, you - for the sake of your own soul, do not be like unto them.  Reach forward to that ever perfection that you will have in Him by faith.

  52. For so again the Lord said: "I know your works. Behold, I have set before you an open door, which no one is able to shut; I know that you have but little power, and yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name."  An open door my dear ones, who therefore is to hinder you, or shut you out?

  53.   Those which perform no more than lip service will attempt to drag you down, but so said the Lord: "Because you have kept my word of patient endurance, I will keep you from the hour of trial which is coming on the whole world, to try those who dwell upon the earth.  I am coming soon; hold fast what you have, so that no one may seize your crown."

  54. We may be humble in many things, and empty out our souls before them in the love that we have of God for Him and for our fellowman, but not to the point where we lose the very crown upon our own heads, since that is our life and being.

  55. Was it not said: "Examine yourselves, to see whether you are holding to your faith. Test yourselves. Do you not realize that Jesus Christ is in you? -- unless indeed you fail to meet the test!

  56. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for it is because of these things that the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience."

  57. And why should I for you my love go any further into this, when it is as written: "But they that have the fear of the Lord, and search out the truth concerning God, having all their thoughts towards the Lord perceive whatsoever is said to them, and forthwith understand it, for they have the fear of the Lord in them."

  58. And so one of the Apostles continued saying:  "Therefore do not associate with them.  Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them, do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is."

  59. Depart from the world, and by that I do not mean physically but in spirit, in the thoughts of your heart. And bad company teaches bad manners, to defile the pure Godly thoughts of your heart and mind.

  60.   I wish to caution you my love that there are many that profess Christ Jesus, and from the outside appear to serve Him, yet of equally as many the words of the Lord applies to them where He said;

  61. "I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were cold or hot!  So, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew you out of my mouth."

  62. Consider these words my love that I may forever call you my love, my very dear ones, for all that are my love, are the Lord's also, for His Spirit abides with me that you may abide with us, and your rejoicing will be without end.

  63. Be not therefore lukewarm, but be our love and our adoration, and let it be sufficient for me to have said this to you without the remainder of the words of the Lord, since you my love will know them.

  64. Be not so blind and foolish to assume that the roman catholics are Christians.  These are no more than the offspring of those roman pagans of the past, placating Christian names upon their idols.

  65. Nor are the protestants of this day a grain better, but pagans just the same. Take learning my beloved, be not deceived.

  66. You that have need, or are under ridicule or oppression, do as I did when I was down, I read: "But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things shall be yours as well."  And I accepted His word with faith, for again He said;

  67. "And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith."  Let it not be strange to you, but remember how the Lord said; "Those whom I love, I reprove and chasten; so be zealous and repent."

  68.   It is somewhere said: "This is the condition of the battle which man that is born upon the earth shall fight, that if he is overcome, he then shall suffer, but if he gets the victory, he shall receive the crown of life"  And the Apostle said;  "We destroy arguments and every proud obstacle to the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ."

  69. Consider therefore this sentiment; that we captivate our very thoughts to obey Christ.   And if we do so with our thoughts how much more shall we not do so in deeds?

  70. When among you in the congregation the women do not veil themselves as commanded of the Holy Spirit, how will their thoughts be in obedience to Christ when their deeds are contrary to His word?

  71. And while these many come with all sorts of arguments to justify their behavior, how much pain will it be to them if they did keep themselves to the word of God?

  72. I say to you my love, that it does pain them to abide by a Holy Spirit, since in them the evil spirits rule. It is like Paul said, how to them the word of God is folly, while to you my love - it is life.

  73. And while there are many that go about saying; the Bible says, the Bible says, these think to find life in the letter, not knowing that true life is in the Spirit.

  74. This Billy Graham and many like him are those fascinated in the letter while they have no knowledge of Christ Jesus, and when these depart from this earth, the angels will hold their spirits in the shackles of hell to await the day of judgment when these will be cast into the everlasting flames of regret.

  75. Know this my love, there is an great multitude that vie for heaven, and truly consider themselves to inherit the same, when at the end of their days, when they die, these will come to the rude awakening, that they ran their course in vain, that instead of heaven, a fearful judgment came to await them.  For it is as the Lord said; "to find your works perfect before His Father."

  76. Like the animals upon the earth for its many kinds and natures, so the people are. There are those like the lion that kill for a living, and like the hyenas that prefer to take what another has caught for its living, and the vultures that dine on the dead. Then there are the dear and the antelope that graze peacefully, and the hawk and the eagle luring for any prey to their taking.

  77. Many lead a simple life, and generally keep to the rules of life, without any great sins, and attend the churches, yet for all their simplicity and humility there is no zeal in them, nor the affection which the truly righteous have for the Lord their God.  And this I wish to see in you my love, the zeal for the greater glory, the affection that makes for true love.

  78. Trials and persecution are inevitable, so then I wish to give you the words of wisdom saying: "Whatever is brought on you - accept cheerfully, and be patient when you are brought in low estate, for as gold is tried in the fire, so acceptable men in the furnace of adversity.

  79. Believe in Him - and He will help you, order your way correct, and trust in Him.   You that fear the Lord - wait for His mercy, go not aside lest you fall.  You that fear the Lord believe Him, and your reward shall not fail."

  80. Then you will be as said:   "For he that is just and humble is ashamed to perform what is unjust, reproved not of another, but of his own heart, for the Lord looks upon his inclination.

  81. He will not speak against a holy man because the fear of God overcomes hatred, and fearing lest he should offend the Lord, he will not do wrong to any man, even in thought."

  82. For the good man has no dark eyes, but shows mercy to all men even though they be sinners and devise evil regarding him, for he overcomes by doing good, being shielded by God, and he loves the righteous as His own soul."

  83. And again my love consider these words;  "God knows the thoughts of all hearts and their infirmities, and the manifold wickedness of the devil who is always contriving something against the servants of God, and maliciously lays snares for them.

  84. Understand then what belongs to faith, for there are two angels with man, one of righteousness the other of iniquity."   Whosoever therefore are strong in the faith of the Lord and have put on the truth, are not joined to evil spirits, but the doubtful repent often like the heathens do.

  85. And concerning wisdom, that you may have the Spirit thereof, so the preacher said;  "For to try for her - is the right wisdom, and he that watches for her shall not have to wait long.

  86. And again:  "For where the Spirit of the Lord dwells there is also much understanding added, join yourself therefore to the Lord, and you shall understand all things."

  87. And having come that far remember how the Lord said:   "Keep my secret, you who are kept by it.  Keep my faith, you who are kept by it. Understand my knowledge, you who know me in truth, and love me with affection, you who love."

  88. On a number of occasions I have spoken to those calling themselves Messianic Jews, in the hope that they might indeed become Messianic Jews, and not merely provide lip service to a name. For so indeed these are, professing a name but having no knowledge of Him nor of the truth spoken by Him, nor therefore are they keeping themselves to His word.

  89. These therefore worship in vain, and are not written in for life, for if indeed the fear and/or knowledge of the Lord were in them, they would have heeded my word, and not mock me to my face, for to mock me is to mock God and His Christ as well, since I came from Him, and speak by His Spirit.

  90.   I have spoken many things in parables, and in wisdom, hard to understand, for the world  not to their comprehensionNor have I like Paul, kept to only the simple knowledge, to know only Christ and Him crucified that he might redeem souls for the name of Christ.

  91. Paul was send as a evangelist, I on the other hand am not a prophet, nor a evangelist, although to you I may speak as one,  But the Lord brought me in my capacity as a prince, since He brought me into this world to reprove the unwise, and to upbraid them with their cruelties, and to render judgment on them.

  92. But for the love that is within me I seek to rescue as many as may be possible for the kingdom of God and of His Son,  This I am doing out of love even though it is not my calling.

  93. And my first love is not for my soul, nor for my salvation, but for righteousness and for truth, and perfect judgment, and secondly for you my dear ones that you may live.  And thirdly for all man that they may have rejoicing.

  94. I was in a court of law by man, and they made me swear by God, as then in my defense I quoted the judge the very law by which my innocence was marked, he had no apprehension of it, and mocked it to my face, even though he caused me to swear by it.

  95. The words that I quoted him were:  "If one makes a promise to give a present, but then he does not give, shall it not then be a theft?"  And with the same I wish to caution you my dear ones, that when you set yourself to serve the Lord, not to go back upon your word, nor upon your intend, for so Paul also said; "God is not to be mocked."

  96. Wisdom now is for the wise, and where it is lacking there is confusion.  The Lord spoke answering someone, that he was without understanding, since so He said; "But they do not marry, nor are they given in marriage, but they shall be like the angels."

  97. And you may quote me where I said that: "There will be many marriages, for He created them as male and female."  Am I therefore speaking contrary to the Lord?

  98. No my love, I was speaking of the time in the eight day upon the new world, while the Lord spoke of the intermediate time from this age till the new age.  And where He said that; "Elijah had already come," does not discount that he is yet again to come as it is prophesied.

  99. For Elijah did indeed come and they did with him as they pleased, and he was taken up to be with Enoch, so that these two as the two lamp-stands before God and the whole world, may as yet return upon the earth, and judge the same with many plagues, until the devil himself being cast down to earth will kill them, since as God said; "All flesh must once die."

  100. Paul now in the Holy Spirit at one place said;  "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus."  And yet in the same Holy Spirit I may be quoted to have said; that there will always be the distinction of Jews and Gentiles, and for some never to be free, and for the male to take his female for wife unto him.

  101. How then are the words by Paul to be reckoned?  Our brother Barnabas made it very clear as he said:  "And the male with the female, neither male nor female, means; He calls our anger the male, our lust the female.

  102. When therefore a man is come to such a passing that he is subject to neither, but having dispelled the mist arising from them, and being full of shame, he by repentance shall have united both his soul and the spirit in the obedience of reason.  Then it will be as Paul said; there is in us neither male nor female."

  103. Is it not written;  "And on the eight day his wife was brought unto him!?"  So then it will be, that on the EIGHT day man will have his mate brought unto him.

  104. So you see my love how wisdom and understanding comes with the love of God, and with faith that is pure towards Him. I now do not wish to bring to your eyes so many other things I could pronounce to your joy, and for the hope within you, since my word here may be read by those that are unworthy, to whom the revelation of these things are not fitting. Yet if you will be diligent you will come to know them.

  105. Be of a joyful mind my children, knowing that by your faith in Christ Jesus your sins no longer exist. So it is that I caution you to be joyful and not be anxious, for it is written:   "Let not your sins weigh you down, and let not your iniquities lift themselves up."

  106. You believe do you not?  Nor therefore are you distrustful of God, are you?  Your faith is the faith is it not? And why then should there be any doubt, for so spoke the Lord:  "Woe be unto them that are bound with their sins, and covered with their wickedness like as a field is covered with bushes."

  107. Understand what is written my children, my love in the Lord, have the right faith, and the full and good understanding. Call to Him, and He will give you all that needful for you, that will bring you to your perfection within Him. You however in asking must not doubt, for he that has doubt's, makes God out for a liar.

  108. Therefore also the Lord created the fast, that is to say, the spirit to be single minded, and to always be single minded. He gave you the means, the Spirit towards that end.  Make it firm within you, and tell those demons that whisper in your ears to be otherwise, to depart from you, and they will depart when you allow only the good Spirit to dwell within you.

  109. For now I wish to bring to your mind what was said by the Angel of the Lord to a person named Hermas: "For if you resist him (meaning the evil spirit) he will flee away with confusion, but they that are not full of faith fear the devil as if he had some great power.   For the devil tries the servants of God, and if he finds them empty, he destroys them."

  110. But how will you my love be empty when you have faith, and the love of God is within your heart, and you love your neighbor as yourselves, or even more than your own selves.  Remember what the Lord did to the wife of Lot, of which it was said;

  111. "This was so that all men might know that those who are double minded and distrustful of the power of God - are prepared for condemnation, and to be a sign to all succeeding ages."

  112. Remember psalm 51, "For I know my transgressions, and my sin is ever before me"  and; "Thou desires truth in the inward being."

  113.   Who now shall understand the hard sayings of the Lord? Those that are wise and intelligent, that love the Lord! And who shall have joy of mind and heart?  Such as love their neighbors even more than themselves, for it is extremely pleasant to have the love that is for one another granted of God.

  114. It is of no pleasure to me when men praise me for the gift that the Lord bestowed upon me, for I count it a burden upon me for the humility in which I both ought to and wish to remain.

  115. I am after-all still flesh with the evil one ready to miss no opportunity by which to drag me down. Allow me to be the servant that I really am.

  116. Now as to the congregations and the governance therein, the Apostles and their disciples have spoken enough. Yet I wonder if there be any congregations left in this day, in the ending of the sixth day when so much darkness has dawned upon the earth, the night passing for the day of the Sabbath to take its entrance.

  117. The Gentiles conceived to have a church, as if there were one among them. These however deceive only themselves by their idol worship, a piece of wood they hold for salvation, and for a god unto themselves.

  118. It is for that reason that my voice is directed more to the singular ones wherever these may be whether these be within or outside of any congregation.  As for me in all that I have seen, I have no hope for any congregation whatever name they may have.

  119. But God willing if He will call some to be united in His name, I will come to rejoice with them, and my hope and my expectation is more for Israel than for the Gentiles.  A hard statement indeed, but I speak out of the inmost of my heart.   Leonard
